Day 3

More adventures on the Metro as we go to Arlington Cemetery.

The girls waiting for the Metro, with them is Catherine Mengden.

The tomb of JFK and the eternal flame
Here we prayed briefly for all the faithful departed: Arlington Cemetery is the resting place
for over 400,000 people.

Waiting for the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. We had front row seats, but it took some waiting in the cold.
( We’ll add more pictures to this one later.
Unfortunately, the pictures are locked away on someone’s phone.)

Youth Rally with Pro-Life speakers followed by..

...an Expo of numerous Pro-life groups and organizations that work in various ways for
the stopping of abortion and other outreach programs.

We ended the day with dinner and games back at our apartments.

  2. As we begin the Chair of Unity Octave Prayers today, we unite with you all as you get closer to your goal. I'll bet the cold wait at the "changing of the guard" was worth seeing it from the front row!!! How impressive! The Visit to the Cemetery must have been like a little All Souls Day. What a meditation surrounded by all that land and impressive personages...all so passing. Did I see Tracy Isakson in one of the pictures? and Sister Marie Janae? Does that mean there is a group from Colorado? How many total are in your group? I'll bet you are all doing a huge amount of walking, :-) and, I am sure, having fun too. Go for it!! God bless you all. One in prayer and sacrifices... Sister Mary Genevieve and the 4th -7th graders MIQ School.
